A Waypoint in maritime terms is “a location defined by navigational coordinates, especially as part of a planned route.  Our first waypoint was the island of Nantucket, MA in the summer of 2017, where we ran the Harbor Launch service. After one season, we partnered with friends at local bar and restaurant Slip 14, to introduce The Nantucket Tug Company.  We offered private (and delicious) charters on Gertrude, our custom 26' Crosby tugboat.  Our goal was to deliver exceptional service and hospitality to visiting and local yachtsmen, making their Nantucket  experience even more memorable.

 

In 2020, we altered course again. We sold our Launch service to the Nantucket Harbor Launch Company, and began our journey with HDPE boats and joined Whaly boat family as a proud part of the Whaly USA dealer network.   In 2022, we continued our focus on HDPE and joined Tideman US as a boat building partner.  In September 2023 we rebranded our company as Waypoint Boatworks and launched our new line of HDPE skiffs.  We continue to partner with Tideman Marine to offer and build larger custom HDPE boats.

 

 Our waypoints may have changed, but our goal remains the same: to get people on the water while delivering an exceptional and memorable customer experience.
